Provider of dental equipment to charitable clinics celebrates 10-year anniversary
Wichita, Kan. — Someone has to acquire, store, maintain and transport the dental equipment used at charitable dental clinics every year across the U.S. Many volunteers and patients at such clinics can thank America’s Dentists Care Foundation, or ADCF, for doing just that.
This year the ADCF marks its 10-year anniversary. In August, the group held a celebration at its headquarters in Kansas.
“A milestone of this nature in the nonprofit sector doesn’t happen without fantastic support,” said Bill Blasing, ADCF’s executive director, in a news release. “Our partners across America that contribute to our success, from both a cash and in-kind perspective, make it possible for ADCF to pursue our mission with the necessary tools in our tool belt.”
Since 2008, ADCF has supported charitable dental clinics in 31 states, providing 260,000 patients with nearly $175 million in oral health care.
Current staff and board members, supporters, past board members, and ADCF’s four founders attended the August celebration.
At the celebration, Dr. Fred Eichmiller, board president, presented long-time board member, Lani Becker, with the Above and Beyond Award, honoring her commitment to the organization’s mission. ADCF’s four founders, Dr. Steve Anderson, Dr. Jeff Stasch, Dr. Jon Tilton and Bruce Bergstrom, the organization’s first executive director, also received commemorative plaques.
“ADCF has been at the heart of the charitable clinic effort in America since 2008, and our 10-year anniversary speaks to our sustainability and commitment to the underserved among us,” Mr. Blasing said.
